Capacity relocation and resizing at Ismeca Semiconductor

Horgen, 13 November 2006 – A lower order intake in the 2nd half accelerates the implementation of the Asia strategy communicated in spring 2005 which entails relocating part of capacity to the Malaysian plant commissioned in April 2006 will lead to the loss of some 35 jobs in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Operating as a center of excellence, the head office will concentrate primarily on high-grade machine construction with a stronger than average engineering component, while the Malaysia site will focus on standard production. The Ismeca Semiconductor division will in future number around 300 employees.
